Aquaman felt like two movies running at the same time. One was a fun action comedy, the other was a serious movie that had places to go. Each scene had plot shots and comedy shots, and they didn't feel like they had been shot together.

My theory, based on zero research, is that half the movie was reshoots. Whether it was shot super serious and turned into a comedy later or the whole story was replaced after the fact, I don't know. Either way, it likely bears little resemblance to what he walked on set for.

I feel the same way about Thor Love and Thunder. Anything to do with the bad guy was super grim and serious and everything else was silly.

My understanding from rumors, is that is a Chris Hemsworth thing. It started with End Game, he wanted more comedy in Thor's personality. Hence the really awkward scenes in that movie. And has continued on since then.

Besides the comedy not being very good and Chris not having any comedic timing, it goes against people's perception of Thor in my opinion...

What studio would take on the lamest superhero ever?
