So help me, I remember...
I love Mr Rogers. I don't watch reruns because I know that creepy puppet is there.
One thing I got a kick out of learning about him is that apparently (like Jim Henson par exemple), he was not at all averse to raunchy humor and so forth. Yes, he was still an incredibly kind, decent bloke off camera, just that in RL he permitted himself to be just as real as the rest of us.
IIRC there were fun little games he would play with his wife, like when he shot her a mischievious smile, and she came to understand that he was in fact shifting one arse cheek aside so that he could flatulate silently. 🙂
