Reddit seems to have introduced sitewide AI moderation bots that are sweeping up users and outright banning them, without warning or explanation, for crimes like including links in their posts. This has started to hit some pretty well-known artists in r/comics.

It's inconsistent and unpredictable - which makes it worse, since you don't know what the rules are. As companies like Reddit give up more and more control to unaccountable machines, this kind of thing is getting more common.

Reddit has always had kind of a strange relationship with contributors and what is often called "self-promotion". On one hand, it wants Content... But it can't seem to decide where it wants the content to come from.

It's nice that we've got alternative spaces like this.

Anyway, have some links:

Haha, thanks :) Yeah, I created Feral Comics on Webtoon as a place to keep all the one-offs that aren't part of the Love and Hex story, so both kinds of thing can exist online without getting in each other's way.

please let us know if you do a book signing anywhere so we can buy a book and get it signed. i've got the little dee collection (chris baldwin was a delight to meet) and a couple sheldons that i need to go annoy dave kellett about sometime. we're always glad to support our favorites :3

I'm way to small to go places and do signings ๐Ÿ˜… It would be fun to do a convention sometime, but I don't have the marketing chops or energy.

People have asked how they can get a signed copy... My workaround is that , unlike the book which is print on demand, I sell stickers directly via Ko-Fi, so if someone buys a sticker and mentions they have the book, I include a little sticky label with a signature and a lil' sketch that they can stick in the cover.

i mean don't sell yourself short. let your legs do the short business. but if you do a SacAnime or any of the Bay Area cons I'm there.
