He “stepped back.” That is complying to Nazi’s demands.

At no point did the camerist tampered the exhaust, siphoned the tank, slashed the tires, removed wheels, disabled the battery, or did a Spanish trick.

Complicity means you are actually involved in criminal activity. It's more than just not stopping it.

Furthermore I don't see how getting arrested and getting decades in prison is going to help the cause. Even if he wanted to do those things it would be smarter to do it when there aren't officers right there.
