Nah I confirmed. He was just tossing them in his mouth and eating them whole. This is how the conversation came to be in the first place. He was a work friend and I offered him some sunflower seeds and he said "nah man too crunchy" and that unravelled the whole thing. He was a pretty sheltered guy, eating mostly processed garbage and nobody cooked in his house growing up. He was a nice guy just pretty oblivious at times.
