Isn't this kinda standard? It would make sense to educate a country's people in a common language. I don't believe this is necessarily trying to eradicate the minority languages, patterns have generally shown that the languages just coexist.
As for unity in nationality, such a thing also makes sense.

Countries with large native minorities usually teach using the native language. For example in the UK there are Welsh medium schools for native Welsh speakers. This is usually not done for migrants, but only for local native languages. In the case of China there are more then a dozen none Chinese native languages with over a million speakers. For some you could easily set up universities and so forth.
Although in Wales, english is already known and used by government services, same in Ireland. Only 81% of Chinese people can speak Mandarin.
In Wales and Ireland the native languages were deliberately subjugated, and are only recently being deliberately re-prioritised. It's a sore point among both populaces
So to compare the amount of speakers pre and post language erasure isn't that helpful I don't think
Doesn't mean China will necessarily subjugate and erase them though. Minority languages can still be seen represented across China, even on the banknotes. As well as celebrating ethnic minorities, united under the five-starred red flag. It's likely an effort to just make mandarin a first language.
"Ethnic unity" is a euphemism for ethnic cleansing.

Show me a country that has engaged in cultural extermination that doesn't couch it in terms of unity. That's literally the core of fascism. You need one nation. One party. One race. One identity. That's the definition of fascism.

It isn't synonymous. The preamble of the legislation itself refers to the aim of a "unified multi-ethnic nation". Just because the USA has issues of racism and race division going on, doesn't mean that other nations should follow suit. The law is literally trying to break down race divisions and is in itself anti-racist.

So you're saying that the Chinese are using western so-called "dog whistles" to... Refer to what exactly? Ethnic minorities of China are Chinese culture.... Are you for preserving that culture or for eradicating it?
I have a contact who's a qualified Chinese translator, I'm running the sentence "支持开展中华优秀传统文化的宣传和推广" by them. Although to me the translation of the wording matches similarly to what China promotes in it's tourism advertising campaigns.

Stating these things isn't perpetuating genocide. It just makes sense.
More hand waving. Uyghur genocide is well documented and denying it based on what state controlled media says is your problem. You've typed paragraphs and paragraphs but you've said nothing of substance. Your point remains that the equivalent of Fox News in China said it's not happening so everyone must believe them. Netanyahu says there's no genocide in Palestine, CCP says there's no genocide in Xinjiang, there is no war in Ba Sing Se. It's all the same. You're a gullible fool or you're a paid assassin.
If any real humans are reading this they need to understand that this user is a state actor with an agenda. Forced sterilization, reeducation camps, relocation and straight up murder is being committed by the Chinese government against the Uyghur people because of their religious beliefs and the way that they look. The person I'm responding to knows this is happening and wants it to happen. They have typed out dozens of comments over multiple days and have said nothing other than a plea for you to trust the villains committing the crimes.
I'm sure they'll respond here again and talk about translations or definitions of words or other distractions because that's what they're being paid to do. But in the end, the argument comes down to trusting the words in a pamphlet written by a corrupt regime that daydreams of being just like America and is doing everything they can to become just as evil and powerful.
Then why isn't it allegedly being committed against the Hui people as well? In fact, there are places such as Muslim street in Xi'An where the local government have refused to grant licences or allow businesses to sell alcohol there because it goes against the religion of the local Hui population. I have even been in a Hui run public restaurant asking visitors to not bring outside food or alcohol into the restaurant because it was a muslim establishment, along with islamic imagery. Such a thing I have never seen in the UK.
I couldn't find any substantive evidence for a systematic genocide happening outside of western sponsored media reports. In fact, I have known Uyghur Muslims who have came to study abroad in the UK. Atrocities have likely been committed, sure. The problem is, China is a huge country. Whenever one thing happens to one person of a specific group, western media paints it as happening systemically to everyone. The same narrative follows that of the alleged persecution of Christians in China. A few over zealous party officials in China makes a few Churches remove their crosses in their jurisdiction, suddenly this is nationwide persecution. Many times does the higher levels step in and tell them to leave the Churches alone, due to Chinese laws protecting religion, but that's not as widely reported. I've heard similar stories from the USA of schools suppressing Christian beliefs and promoting "liberal" ideas, yet generally we accept these are just isolated incidents.
China is a complicated place. It's a country that is bigger than the continent of Europe, and you're clearly viewing it through an american lens. For example your earlier comments about "dogwhistles" and such.
One thing to understand about China is that they overreact. A stabbing happened on metro train over a decade ago, and to this day you have to go through metal detectors and x ray bags, as well as testing water to go through any metro system in China.
A good example is that schools in China do look like fortified compounds. They have heavy security and barbed wire fences. This was likely resulting from a blanket law regarding children being kidnapped by traffickers and measures to protect them. However, this law also applies to vocational schools which is what is being alleged to be camps, and to the untrained eye, it makes it look more like a camp.
American and Western propaganda is a real thing. I have been to China and have experienced things which definitely run against the grain of media protrayal (particularly regarding the state of Christian worship in the PRC). At worst they're motivated by organisations such as the US government or the Falun Gong, at best they're just looking for clicks. It's okay to scrutinise things, lest the boy cry wolf.
They're literally advocating ethnic unity. Not unity between ethnicities, but ethnic unity implying one.
The law bars anyone from blocking marriages on ethnic grounds. The only way to stop one ethnicity existing would be to ban interracial marriages.
Also, it doesn't imply anything, the preamble refers to a unified multi-ethnic nation. The whole Chinese view on the issue has essentially been anti-racism and working towards ending racial divisions. If such a thing were to be promoted in the west, it would be celebrated.
Well, the whole view far as Chinese propaganda goes. And Trump is making America great again. Mmhmm. Sure.
I would love your source on that, because that is contrary both to my reasoning and experience.
