You can make a new account (possibly on a different instance) and make sure it doesn't have any connections to your current account
Yeah, I think this is the best advice. Already reported and blocked.
Feels like giving the stalker what they want. Why does OP have to erase their identity here just because of some asshole?
I didn't say they have to do it; I'm just sharing what I would do.
I consider my Lemmy identity basically disposable so it wouldn't be a very drastic move for me. It's not like we have followers or karma or anything on here aside from a comment history.
What's your idea?
Sure. I didnt mean 'have to' as in you forcing OP, more like in a general sense, 'why do people using despicable methods get what they want'.
