Who said I wasn't also doing that? It's not mutually exclusive, just a quick way to get a read on people's sentiment towards them and to try to figure out why people shut down discussion about them so consistently

So you don't understand the actual point of throwing out people who misbehave? You don't see the crowd vote to throw out a hooligan, people are perfectly happy with bouncers throwing out assholes.Why do you think people want to see those assholes online? Why do you think people want to individually block every single annoying account showing up in their replies?
Literally none of this conversation has been about banning people, it's been about looking yourself what type of people on a lemmy instance are.
