Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Another week done! Today's game is simple, person A asks a question eg "what's your favourite colour" person B answers it and asks their own question. Have fun!

Pleased to meet you, Maya, I'm Winny. Winny the Wasp :-)

Jiw many pickles do you think you could eat in one sitting?

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Depends on what's been pickled and how it's been pickled. I'm kind of a sucker for sweet pickles, so sweet gherkins, sweet pickled daikon, sweet pickled carrots, etc. ... there's basically no limit. I'll have that jar emptied before you've noticed I stole it from you.

The more sour/salty variety I love too, but I love in smaller doses. If we go with standard sized dills from department stores, for example ... maybe a half-dozen?

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I was thinking of dill pickles, but anything counts.

In Spain they do big jars of misc pickled veggies (little onions, bits of carrot, olives, and yes little dill pickles). The flavour is so strong I can't eat much of that in one sitting!

How do you feel about pickled spicy peppers?

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I love pickled spicy peppers!! I only started liking spicy food when I was pregnant - couldn't even handle jalapenos before that haha. My kid likes spicy things as well, so that old wives' tale proved true for me.

Do you like spicy food in general?

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh I love spicy food ... within reason, lol

Finding good spicy food in Spain has been tricky, but a local kebab place is run by a nice Indian family, and they're very happy to serve me a proper spicy madras that's enough to make me sweat and go pink :-)

Remembering the game ... if you could fly, would you rather zoom around like Superman, or have a set of elegant wings in a style of your choosing?

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ohhh, I think I'd rather zoom around like Superman. Dressing around wings would be difficult! Though they could be really really pretty haha

What's your favorite fiction book or movie?

[–] Moxie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Penny Dreadful! A casually queer feminist masterpiece of goth horror. Why haven't you done those things you want to do before you die yet?

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I haven't got round to it

Beach or mountains?

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

My house is in the mountains, and from there I can see the sea ... so for me, I already chose mountains :-)

If you had to go to another country for 1 year and the return home, but you would have to live and work as an average person of that country, where would you choose to go?

[–] strawberry_enjoyer42@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'd go to Switzerland, since the average person there make pretty good money. I'd live simply, and save enough money to move to where I really want to be, after the year is up.

What do you think of jazz music?

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I love classic jazz and big band stuff. I don't get on with experimental / abstract jazz, it grates on my autism like teeth on asphalt.

Have you ever had a real life hero or heroine? If so, who?

[–] strawberry_enjoyer42@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sorry to break the rules of the game, but I love big band jazz! Swing is king <3

I also kinda like more avant garde stuff, though. I'm maybe a bit weird for that. No yeah, I am weird for that; there's a reason it's not mainstream :3

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago

I think you're allowed to break rules in this game, lol
