We're pretty good at predicting simple physical things, like when you let go of an apple, it falls to the ground.
When we look at more complex systems, like weather, we're less good at it.
Predicting general trends among many people works pretty well.
Predicting what one person will choose to do in any given situation, is far less accurate. It's just a guess, really.
To your question, I would never have predicted that Flat Earthers would exist in any number--people who genuinely believe the Earth is flat. I was flabbergasted when I finally realized they weren't trolling.
