Most humour has some truth to it no? Otherwise it's not normally funny.
I can see from comments outside of mine that it's struck a cord with some, as they have seemingly had bad relationships with their own parents.
Not sure why my comment sticks out enough to question my sense of humour, as I was just commenting that I hope people really are not making these sorts of calls based on spite. I suspect sadly that's probably not always the case due to the complexities of people.
Although I am curious, as a joke, do you think it's a good one?
Yes. It is funny.
Not everything on the Internet should be taken as seriously as you are. If you are upset by this two panel meme, that's something you need to reflect upon yourself.
To put your mind at rest, I'm not losing sleep from this or in any form of distress. My comment is so mild and not directly critical of the post, that I can't even understand why it provoked anyone else to reply. Just putting it out there the hope people wouldn't act like this. Feel like more was read into that comment than necessary.
