No worries. I despise him too and one of my favourite cinema factoids of all time is that Christian Bale used Tom Cruise as inspiration for Patrick Bateman. ๐ค
And while I consider Tom Cruise to be a creepy psycho, I do also admire his performances in several movies. He's a total freak, but he has what it takes in showbiz. Still think his performance in Magnolia is one of the best ones he ever did.
But yeah. Is what it is. I wanted to give the make up team their flowers because even I looked at this poster and a couple of shots from Digger and went "wtf happened?"

Make-up team: Yes.
Much better than... Let's say in For All Mankind. Just a comparison of the absolute quality of it. I suppose they still do a good job with the means they have.
