Have you tried that completely flavourless fresh Italian mozzarella they pair with tomatoes as an appetizer? Makes me gag; like it's sucking the flavour OUT of my mouth
I have yet to taste any mozzarella cheese that is flavourless, and I have eaten a LOT of mozzarella....
bocconcini is what it is usually called here, which is technically not the type, but shape. But they sell it as no colour and no taste at all. Usually served with tomatoes and a Basil leaf
That pesto spread is going to overpower the mozzarella. Fresh tomato, s&p, mozzarella, fresh basil leaves is all you need
