Are energy costs soaring? They just dropped VAT on electricity, my bill is dropping quite a bit.
I'll take solar panels though. Want to see what kind of pricing they come in at. Could even stick some on top of my heat pump.
They'll be £400-500. Inverters are £100-150 and panels 2 X £100. Then the wiring and Gubbins, smart meter. The legislation is just for panals though, plug in and play batteries aren't part of this yet. Probs best to go with wa company you know will be compatible with batteries in the future, ie already doing so in Germany
compatibility shouldnt be a factor, they will all work with all unless you are getting some jumped up snake oil apple-style vendor lock-in
Yeah, maybe. But I kinda just want to do full roof solar panels too.
But if these plug in panels could also work for off grid locations then that helps justify it for me. Could get them now for home and then when I get my roof done move them to power my allotment shed.
