Yeah man it's crazy. I got a killer deal on a 2025 ROG Zephyrus G16 285h/32/3tb/5070ti ($1,800), I looked at the 2026 model that only had 1tb and an updated 385h cpu (a little better battery) it went from $2,800 to $3,800 msrp. I'm guessing because of a new ram agreement for the new model year, and it still only had 1/3 the storage.
