Well the wife dislocated her shoulder and I was permanently banned from the other place for a reason they saw fit to not bother telling me about.

They didn't even tell you why you were banned? I dunno what they're doing there. My old account got banned for inciting violence, I'd said "the only good nazi is dead nazi" a few times and apparently that was ban worthy. Another account got a warning for "impersonation" it I haven't got a fucking clue how I got that, as I haven't done anything remotely close to that.
I also got banned from /r/Redditalternatives because another Lemmy user reported me and another user for giving our honest feedback about Lemmy lol.
TY she's all strapped up now and on a long road to recovery.
It's probably a good thing to be banned, as I can regard the place as read-only and not slip up and be subjected to that subtle abuse that keyboard warriors post in reply.
I'm looking forward to this place expanding out very much
