Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

been thinking a lot about what it means to be friends with someone lately. i have a friend who seems to want to spend time with me sometimes, but never really seems to engage with emotional discussions when i try to have them. not even really our emotions for each other just like, feelings about unrelated stuff. i want to be able to talk about our feelings with my friends, but i can only seem to find that in sexual partners. maybe its just a me thing, maybe other people just dont want that from their friends, or im not really that close to any of them.

idk i guess ive been feeling like i dont want to invest much time in someone who i cant discuss feelings with, but im not sure if im being unreasonable in that position. i will acknowledge that im consistently one of the more emotional people out of everyone ive met.

not gonna lie thats like the scariest thing i could imagine doing. ive thought about it before but theres a part of me thats worried it would just end the friendship entirely. i dont want to burn the bridge by making someone feel uncomfortable or getting myself hurt. sadly... that has happened to me enough trying radical honesty that i dont really want to try. fading into the ether is a much more tolerable experience. ill have to address that at some point but not now...

Ahh yeah that makes sense. Well in that case, I hope that with some more hanging out, your friend starts to open up more to you. OR that your path crosses with someone more compatible for the type of friendship you need right now :)
