It's possible that he got captured mid-mlem after (or before) enjoying the ice.

That is entirely a possibility. We really need more research on the blep-mlem continuum to fully assess the blep to mlem pipeline.

Some researchers prefer to use the term blemp, when the exact blep-mlem is unknown
