Labor eats itself.
See also Rudd & Gillard, Hawke & Keating....
I duno if I can agree, I think straight up it's not looking good for her, considering how labor has done federally and in SA, to be neck and neck with one nation and the liberal party and have what appears to be the lowest approval rating in the country... it's not a good sign

Labor have also been in power since 2014 which is generally when one party leading for so long starts to set in

I think part of it is that weird Aussie “fair go” sentiment: “these guys have been in long enough, time for the other mob to have a crack” - before doing a quick 180 shortly thereafter, as soon as we realise what an absolute shit-show a Libs/ONP state gov’t would be.
I think it is a good thing.
As Premier,She has has completed some achievements in her time that will put the state back on track, but the opposition (not “The Opposition”, but the corporate interests interested in degression) have painted her as evil and destructive to the state.
A fresh face would be good for the party, and if they are able to make some less significant, but more visible achievements, Labor will be lined up for another landslide.
They just need to take the opposition’s propaganda and complete a few token achievements; if all they do are the fix the potholes, that would probably be enough.
Well to be fair.. she did oversee and allow the largest criminal infiltration with CFMEU
And if she is made scapegoat, and they introduce someone else without any tenable links to CFMEU, with lots of charisma (she had none), who wasn’t allegedly having an affair with Lindsay Fox’s daughter, and fixes the potholes, Labor will have the next election in the bag.
The Coalition is still running backwards and ON doesn’t have any policy except to blame anyone who isn’t Anglo-CIS-male for all of society’s problems.
