Iran's foreign ministry warned on Monday of "unforeseen" consequences following Ukraine's attack on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea over the weekend. "This action by Ukraine was an absolutely illegal and unjustified act, contrary to the Charter of the United Nations, as well as a dangerous act of adventurism that will certainly not go unanswered by us," the ministry's spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a weekly press briefing. The consequences of Ukraine's action "will certainly be unforeseen," he added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that Kyiv had carried out long-range strikes in the Caspian Sea against vessels transporting military cargo involving Iran.

Iran said the attack had caused the Iranian ship "to explode, killing one sailor and injuring several others," and warned that it would respond. "The Ukrainian regime must certainly be held accountable for it," Baqaei said.

Its definitely already world war three.

You have two "superpowers" currently at war (not directly with each other, but everyone else involved ties them together).

Iran vs US and Russia vs Ukraine, but Iran is already helping Russia attack Ukraine with their drones and America is helping Ukraine attack Russia and now Ukraine attacks Iran. Even though the US is not attacking Russia directly and vice versa its all one big war at this point. And then you have Israel being Israel and attacking fucking everyone. It's a cluster fuck.

A little false equivalency there - Iran is selling arms to Russia, which is not the same thing as helping Russia attack Ukraine. The US is not merely providing weapons to Ukraine, it is providing logistical support, satellites, comms, targeting data, authorization to fire certain missile on a per missile basis. If Iran was a target for selling arms, then China and the US would be under constant attack by everyone in a conflict.

It's also worth keeping in mind that the reason for the proxy war in Ukraine is because the US ultimately wanted to take on China and saw Russia as the weaker target to take out first. The goal was to break up Russia and surround China with proxy states on its western border while cutting it off from food, energy, and resources it was getting from Russia. This was all openly discussed in the US media I might add. https://nationalinterest.org/feature/strategy-avoiding-two-front-war-192137
