I'm just looking for concrete conversation around tangible things.

If asking for one single fact breaks the whole thread, maybe the premise was pretty fragile to begin with

No you aren't, you're a fucking liar arguing in bad faith and it's 100% obvious. Bless your little heart. Let the adults talk.

[–] LordFireCrotch@lemmy.today -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Asking for one concrete example isn't 'bad faith", it's just asking a question.

So far I’ve gotten vague hand-waving, a buzzword, and now a swearing meltdown. If none of the 'adults' actually have a fact to share, that’s okay, but there's no need to blow a gasket over a simple follow-up

We're not as dumb as you're pretending to be. You have been engaged in just as honest and sincere a manner as you have engaged us. TFB if you don't like that your childish game of chicken hasn't gone your way.

I'm all for open & honest good faith discussions and exchanges of perspectives, but your approach made it blatant from the very first sentence that you were none of those things. You're an immature troll looking to play a stupid game of words so you can try to "validate" a persecution complex or something similar.

Thing is, it's been done for far too many years by people far better at it than you, so we're done trying to engage people who are obviously disingenuous. Sorry, you're too late to the party & missed the show. Time to go home & cry yourself to sleep assured that YOU are the victim in your own little fantasy.

That's a really passionate way to say "I still don't have an answer"

Anyway, take care man!

You're not our professor grading us we literally couldn't give less of a fuck whether you approve our argument or not, we're telling you this isn't the place, go ask claude if you want a slavebot that will answer all your questions obsequiously.

[–] WhoIzDisIz@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

Whatever you need to tell yourself to get through the day. Your overcompensating bravado positively reeks of desperation to "win." I was decent enough to lower the shield enough to level with you as to why you weren't getting an answer, and you don't have the maturity to do the same and act like you actually wanted one. That says all anyone needs to know about you.

Adios.

Do you seriously not know what sealioning is? It's the stupid disingenuous tactic you're employing right now. Claiming you're just asking questions, but you're asking pointless time wasting questions about shit that's obvious as hell and already argued to death. You want answers to these extremely elementary and misleading questions? Stop asking empty space like it's a divine mystery and go educate yourself.

But you don't actually want the answers, and you already know they don't agree with you. It's the endless pretense of not knowing better, the eternal "just asking questions" you have no intention of accepting honest answers to, that is the whole point. You're obvious, chief. You're a kid with one hand in the jar and chocolate on your face "just asking questions" about who ate the cookies. Fuck off!

[–] LordFireCrotch@lemmy.today -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's a lot of words to type when "I don't really know" would have been way less energy.

You're right. You don't know, and you never will as long as you're more concerned with playing childish bullying games where you can convince yourself you've "won" instead of actually trying to learn the truth of what's going on outside your little bubble because it's too complicated for you to bother putting the effort into understanding.

You can convince yourself you're strong right up to when you run into a brick wall because Trump's thugs are just like you and don't GAF until they suddenly do when it hurts them personally, by which time it's too late. It's an attitude of selfish childishness, and you need to outgrow it to avoid being run over by a bigger bully.

Yes, we're giving "passionate" responses (as you noted elsewhere) because we actually care about what's right for everybody, even those we disagree with such as yourself. Think of it as self-preservation if that makes more sense to you - much along the lines of that "...then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me" poem.

[–] LordFireCrotch@lemmy.today 0 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I asked for one example and got a holocaust poem.

It's clear there is no intention of actual engagement here. That's fine. I was just curious.

It's clear there is no intention of actual engagement here.

Nice of you to finally admit your intentions. Not that they weren't obvious to all from the first sentence you uttered, but at least you've finally come around.

It's telling AF that you don't try to counter anything said to you about your behavior, but just keep harping on an answer you've demanded to an extremely vague and leading question. One that if you genuinely didn't know the answer to already, then you've had your head so far buried up your ass for the past decade that you wouldn't understand any answer provided because you wouldn't have the context of recent historical knowledge. We are not your teachers - especially if you honestly had so much to catch up on, and all that info is easily found online.

You're playing dumb, plain & simple. It's obvious, and no amount of gotcha games will change the fact you're deliberately being obtuse in order to bait. Grow up.

[–] LordFireCrotch@lemmy.today 1 points 14 hours ago

Yeah you caught me. Expecting someone to name one actual thing in a discussion forum was definitely way too ambitious.

Have a good one!
