Totally, making the right noises in his first week at least. First budget and king's speech to be the test however!
Refusal to discuss independence is not the right noises
Independence is not realistically happening with a new PM that hasn't gone through a general election and no particular campaigning going in Scotland above the usual level. Recent opinion polls mostly show a narrow plurality for indy, but we need to sway more Scots than a narrow and unstable gap to make a democratically legitimate case
