Sometimes, as a scientist, a system I'm building needs to be tested by humans. If so my proposed test/experiment is reviewed by an Institutional Review Board to make sure it isn't unethical.

Every once in a while I complain to myself because doing IRB review is kind of a hassle, but then I remember that there are fucking monsters like this guy around, so it's a good idea.

Right? And lets be honest plenty of unethical stuff still gets past IRB’s.
