As a Linux system automation code monkey I figured out how to turn knitting patterns into bash script to make them easy to read.
Here is a snip from a teddy bear:
CO 32 sts
k 2 rows
{(Kfb k6* kfb)4
K 1 row}
continue till 56 sts on needle k 30 rows
{(skp k10* k2tog)4
k 1 row} 48 sts left after first run continue til 16 sts on needle (skp k2tog)4 8 sts
k 1 row
(skp k2tog)2 4 sts
cut yarn and pass through 4 sts and pull together, secure
