I've never been able to explain why I feel the way I do when looking at the bifurcation diagram
In a weird way, fractals make more sense than non-fractals.
I suspect because they occur everywhere in nature (in trees, water channels, shorelines), and the eye has evolved to expect them.
but I also get this intrinsically comfortable feeling, as if every cell in my body finds it familiar.
