41% of dutch houses are rental. Then there are people that own more than 1 house. There's no way 68% owns a house here.
But, according to statistics only about 30 % of all people in NL do rent their home https://www.statista.com/statistics/544680/tenants-among-population-netherlands/

Ok.. so that means there's a lot of vacancies? And I am assuming this doesn't account for people living longer with their parents cause they can't afford rent/buying.
Or a bias towards single person households living in a rental. Apartments are probably more likely to be rented, and single person households are usually going to be in an apartment.
