But isn’t that because of different leagues and cup tournaments. In the US they split the games from a single league across different subscriptions. At least in my country in Europe the main football league is just one subscription.

In Germany, to have all Bundesliga games available you'd need DAZN and Sky. I also looked up Premier League in UK and apparently you'd need Sky and TNT there. Those are the respective top national leagues. Champions League is also split up between Amazon Prime and Paramount+ and the finale might be available on Netflix exclusively.

oh wow that sucks. Here in the Netherlands I can get both Bundesliga and Premier League from Viaplay under one subscription. Champions League, La Liga and Seria A from Ziggo and Eredivisie from ESPN. Still not great but no splitting leagues across different providers. yet.
