This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Yeah GIMP is shit. Anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about. Inkscape is better than gimp but still suffers from UI issues.

Depends what you are doing. If you are drawing-krita, if you are manipulating images-gimp, making svg stuff-inkscape. I've been using gimp long enough that the newest photoshop makes me want to crashout.

The GUI/UX is shit. If you wanna design automated workflows from the shell, it can be quite flexible and powerful.

Like they used to have a website that would generate tags or like styled text. They used GIMP for the backend image generation. I thought that was a pretty impressive use case.

I'm pretty sure GIMP doesn't have any kind of UI or UX contributors… it's all "programmer design", where finding the rectangle select tool takes 5 minutes and it doesn't work the way you want it to
