Batteries have become much cheaper, making energy storage far more affordable.

Seems like a great opportunity for us, in Aotearoa, to be investing in grid-scale (and home-scale) batteries, particularly new sodium-ion batteries which should be at the lowest price-bracket for Watts per NZD. Surely this will be more cost effective, long lasting, biodiversity-friendly, and environmentally sustainable by far than even pumped hydro. What do folks reckon?
