Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

More people know Premier, but Natron is designed as a clone to the foundry's Nuke.

A better photoshop alternative is photopea. Gimp is it's own mess.

Can you download and install Photopea or does it still require a Web browser and an online connection to run?

No official version that ive seen, but it seems some people have made offline versions.

Here's a flatpak: https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.github.vikdevelop.photopea_app

Uses an electron wrapper according to the page. I have not used this personally so can't say if it works well or not.

It's been a while since I paid attention to it, but last I heard Natron wasn't maintained anymore since it was having trouble getting developers.

That sucks. They had a really solid foundation going. The few times I used it it did crash when I put it under stress, but the UI was respectable and the tools I used were functional.
