This is why I won't travel in the US. Even an AFAB person is highly likely to be attacked if they exhibit any masculine traits at all because it has nothing to do with genetics or whatever they keep saying it's about. It's just pure hate for people who are different or women and poc who are not obedient enough.
Yep, they are disingenuous as fuck. That's what this whole thing has taught me is they don't even know what the fuck they believe, they only know who they hate. And they will never be straightforward with their reasons for doing the things they do, because then everyone would think they were pieces of shit. That's the really important thing, it's not about not being a piece of shit, just acting like you aren't
It's justification to beat a woman in public and appear a hero, what else do they need.
A former friend of mine, an AFAB person of color, got harassed at a bathroom in Chili's almost a decade ago by a transphobe. It's always been a thing sadly, it's only gotten worse.
