It’s the satanic panic all over again, once again being pushed by Christian extremists.
Well look how that ended for them D&D is huge, BG3 and fantasy adjacent media is beloved, paganism and the like are growing, and gender roles are melting.
the Internet is flourishing with femboys and fursonas
once the moral panic around trans people fade (hopefully I'll be alive to see it), what will be left behind in peace will hopefully be a bunch of institutions that were able to thrive on that pride despite all the pushback
Don’t forget the heavy metal, which was also a target and now more popular than ever
But yeah fuck those assholes. Real patriots believe all their countryfolk have the right to live as they choose.
