Finished When Moon Hits the Eye by John Scalzi.

The book is divided so that each chapter is a new day, and it's from perspective of new people. So there is no story of certain people, rather it's about the "event" and we see things from different people's point of view throughout the book.

I didn't know that, so it took some getting used to, but once I had come to terms with that it was a very interesting book.

Highly recommended for soft sci-fi fans.

This was my week: "Wow, this fantasy story is great! It has themes, it talks about children's rights to self determination, and domestic abuse especially from parents, and the sexualisation of girls even when they've done nothing to invite it. I wonder who the author is?"
