I'm pretty sure Radical Left(tm) here means Tankies, not Dems. But with Americans, one never knows
What I feel like a lot of people in the comment section here aren't allowing us that the meme is criticizing the mainstream (I.e., propagandized) idea of the "radical left" and how "centrists" are in fact right wing but brainwashed into thinking they are moderate.
The "radical left" is just what a generation simmering in a fetid soup of Fox News mental decay calls common sense, basic human right policy. That's what I read is the point of the comic.
Here on Lemmy tankies exist.
But on the English-speaking Twitter, it's almost certainly not about them. And if it's about real world politics, then it's certainly about the non-fascist section of the Dems.
Radical left is those guillotine fetishists. Some people just like to see the world burn and don't care if left or right extremism does the burning and killing. Because violence is only wrong when its done to the wrong people instead of those deserving it.
