UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
i guess the uk commies are setting their stall out early to screw labour with this shite article
while commie OP is magically solving the country's water issues for some time in the future at the same time as dissing the current government
commie protesters hard at work. useless c***s
I don't think anyone from laissez-faire capitalists to vanguard party communists can solve our water issues quickly, at the end of the day catastrophic underinvestment from both the state and the private sector have brought a battery farm's worth of chickens home to roost. Nobody can fix that without a decades-long effort and an enormous slice of humble pie.
The whole reason it was privatised to begin with was a way to shift future liabilities off the government's books, like our student loan system it's all about picking the future's pocket for today using questionable accounting in my view. Well now we live in the future, and everything is buggered.
