Isn't the average American farmer a megacorporation or investment fund these days?

Depends somewhat on the industry often mega corps know they can't farm and are just Monopsonys driving more and more farmers out of business as they lower prices paid to farmers and increase prices the public pays to them. Clearly not short sighted at all what could go wrong....
