Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I've been trying to get my finances in order for a while. I've been looking up different software to help me budget, but I can't find privacy respecting software besides Firefly III, which is self hosted. I usually try to find a few options then evaluate from there, but was wondering if you guys had any recommendations to throw in the mix!

I actually have a whole chart for this! To be fair, it's based on how similar things are to YNAB (you need a budget). Theres a fair amount of single Dev vibe coded bull shit in there so check the section that has the year it was founded and how many Devs it has to verify if you're concerned about that.

I personally use Actual Budget, open source software, free if you self host and don't want automatic import.

Nice chart. Why would Gnucas and Firefly not be listed? That said, i loaded on mobile and wasnt viewing properly

It's mostly user and Dev submitted via Reddit so if no one has submitted them they haven't been added.
