Clockwork orange
Close second: ancillary justice
Oooh I really enjoyed ancillary justice. The pronoun use as part of the story is fantastic (among other things). A lot of sci-fi these days uses pronouns to be inclusive of modern ideas on gender but lecke uses it to hammer in how completely alien all of it is.
Apparently it's the case in the Indonesian language that both he , she and it are the same pronoun. I don't know if that's where leckie got it from though.
She uses a lot of language concepts very well I doubt she got them all from one language.
