To a point, yeah. Short on supplies when you're deep in the Ardennes forest pushing towards Berlin in 1944, sure. In a carrier group in the Arabian Sea doing fuck all, there's no excuse for it not to be ice cream and Xbox all the time. There are a number of nearby bases and friendly countries to resupply, even while underway. There are no threats that would prevent them from rotating out with another carrier group to give everyone some leave.

Transporting resupply of everything from weapons to people to bags of mail into the carrier from other ships, all while still sailing at regular speed, is something bosuns do and practice doing all the damn time. It should be ice cream and Xbox but they’re being dragged around like a show pony who’s about to die of heat stroke

Or, you make another great point, we have a dozen of the goddamn things, send another group. Literally no one on earth beside France have the sea to air capability we do so it’s all just dick wagging anyway
