It's amusing that they use de-nazification as the example of what they want, as the de-nazification of Germany was a spectacular failure. Mostly because all of the most prominent Nazis who were still useful to us (rocket scientists) were essentially pardoned and others fled to South America after the war. But also because the criteria for "who is a member of the Nazi party" necessarily had to become more and more relaxed as time went on to the point where they no longer seemed to care how deep one's convictions to Nazi ideology were, since they needed civilians back to work rebuilding Europe.

Not just rocket scientists. Even many beaureaucrats and judges were 'former' Nazis. Even the first German head of NATO. Lots of Nazis were put to work outside of Germany, killing communists across Europe.
