I don't have to take any wing at they're word. I just have to look at their votes. Lieberman is the ire of your disdain. They needed 60 votes. They "only" had 59.
It's always hilarious watching the supporters of the wing that killed the public option pretending that Lieberman was the only one.
Bdn Nelson also blocked the public option so people could go bankrupt and die to pad donors' wallets.
And let's not pretend that Lieberman wasn't democrats' VP candidate in 2000.
If he was a candidate, I guess nobody gave a shit. And when the fuck did I say that I support any wing of the Democratic party. I'm just reminding you of facts. They had 59 votes at their height. That's a fact.
And if they didn't like people going bankrupt and dying to support the insurance industry, they could have changed the senate rules with only 50.
Since democrats always intended to kill the public option, they didn't. And you'll make excuses for them forever.
The people made it clear that they wanted a public option when they preferred Obama over Clinton. The shit wing of the party that you make excuses for killed it.
I'm not making excuses for anyone in telling what happened.
