A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

I'm not disputing the economics of how it is beneficial when it works. I would also advocate for the same. I was mostly targeting the "free" part, because it just doesn't happen anymore unless privilege falls into your lap. We can idolize all we want about how it should be, but reality isn't so cut and dry. Most young adults are staying at home because there are no options, not because of a desire to transition into multigenerational roots, not because they "failed to launch", and not for saving for upward momentum. These are kids and young adults who've had everything stolen from them and expected to do more than I have ever done.
And not to sound overly confrontational, but giving these talking points to a young adult is a total slap in the face. It's not that you are wrong, and it is good advice, but it's that nobody is listening and addressing the root issues. And it's only going to get worse as time goes on. It's a bit, insensitive. And I'm sure you don't intend it to be that way, but still...
