I bet it would still be disconcerting to be flying an under-equipped flying bribe, however. A major reason why these security risks exist is because the Qatari 747 lacks important missile detection measures, missile defense measures, EMP hardening, and the secure communications equipment required for exchanging information with the US military.
These deficiencies exist at the behest of Trump. Naturally, the threats he invited by warring against Iran and the safety and security deficiencies he initially brushed past when he rushed the Qatari jet retrofit are now thrust upon others.
It’s a classic Trump moment.
