I was banned from lemmy.ml outright for asking if someone that was responding to me with obvious Russian propaganda was a Russian, because he was spouting obvious russian propaganda, I thought maybe he was and was being fed that propaganda.
I was banned for being racist by asking if someone was a Russian. Which is a nationality not a race.
And yes, I was also pointing to facts that where contradicting their made up stories about Nato etc.
It seems to me that lemmy.ml is a Russian misinformation outlet.

I think we must. Not a single person alive is "purely good or purely evil" in all things (?)...
We do not turn a blind eye, we can acknowledge that Hitler was a human being and also evil. Same with Netanyahu and Trump. I will acknowledge they probably did some good in this world (perhaps only privately for their own people), but that does not mean we look away from their evil and vilify them for it.
It depends on what the software does, and how well reviewed it was. A lot of cases I'd say yes, but if it was (as an example) a personal therapist app I'd be pretty suspicious of it.
