By the time you’re hearing about the recall, the danger is usually already over.
Crops grow yearly. Seems to me that nobody can safely eat lettuce or other contaminated products until the next crop next year...
I don't understand your logic. It's not like with bird flu where they cull them and it's 2 years before egg prices went back to normal.
They can discard every jalapeno grown in California. There would still be jalapenos grown elsewhere that are fine.
That sometimes depends on the supplier, they could (and often do) have contracts with each other...
