How do I get people to see my community or know if people can find it? I was on Reddit for 2 days starting a community and got banned for NO REASON. I saw this was the closest thing to it so wanted to start here until Reddit (if they ever bother) checks my appeal.

Instances not on the 'Enabled' list can still have their communities added, they just won't be automatically added. I presume instances on the 'Disabled' list can't have their communities added.

Hmm. Just added a couple Lemmy.World communities and they worked fine, even though that instance seems to be on the "NOT ALLOWED" list. And yet after a lookup, it's not actually disabled. Okay.
