AI being shit most of the time doesn't give anyone license to go around getting rude with people because they admit they used it once.
Wasn't trying to be rude, I'm pointing out that if you're using an AI for something that could be done with a human, that there are better options that don't;
A: lie to you as a function of their existence
B: help fund and produce misinformation on a scale we haven't ever seen before
C: actively worsen the climate (both social and physical)
And D: actively rots the brain of the user by doing their thinking for them.
Perhaps you could consider shutting up. Because you're being rude and obnoxious, and you're not paying attention to anything that's being said, you're just wanting to lecture someone because they used a tool to look up a speaker.
I've considered it many times, but unfortunately it's never stuck.
What exactly am I "not paying attention to" though?
A user posts that they had a bad experience with a bot giving them an incorrect answer, I ask why they're even using it knowing what we all know is true about these companies and their business practices, then clarify my reason for disliking said company's product.
Yes and most of us are aware of all of this. I don't think admitting to using AI once warrants this lecture. Besides, I don't think they said anything to lead us to believe they'd keep using it despite the problem they encountered.
They already named their preferred bot in this same thread, and their plans to attempt "limiting the amount of text that comes out of it."
