Sorry to hear about your Dad... yeah, I think "previous generation" (aka "older") men don't like the fuss and would rather struggle on for days than get help.

I should know, I'm probably one of them ๐Ÿ˜‰

How's walking and working at the same time? I'm curious as I really need to lose some calories and 10 hour days at a desk with occasional trips to the kettle isn't good... but typing? And Teams calls?

Calls is where I use it most, but I haven't had much trouble typing and walking at the same time, where I thought I would struggle. I'm pretty much doing agentic coding now vs hand cranking everything so I think that also makes it a bit easier to walk and type.

Even just standing up vs sitting down makes a big difference to my concentration.

Yesterday I managed to get in about 10k steps. I do get really warm walking though, and my colleagues said the same thing, so it might not be ideal right now if you're in the south of England where it's boiling!
