That's the idea behind the Halloween push.
I know, but I was going with the Star Wars theme of the post. There are a lot of Star Wars cosplayers at Dragon*Con, way more than you'd see at Halloween.
Plus, it's an additional opportunity to de-Flock, and sooner.
First I have heard of this Halloween push.
Detroit does this every year, on the night before Halloween. We called it devils eve in the 80s.

They used to remove anything not cemented down, and burn the things that were.
Oh okay. I've known it as devil's eve and mischief night.
