Some nice improvements to Mastodon coming in 5.0 (blog.joinmastodon.org)

Mostly to do with how posts are composed which was always cramped and weird in the past.

And no more mixing up normal posts with DMs.

To be fair, we aren't either.

And hashtags don’t work well with federation, groups/communities are much better for that.

Agreed but they already have groups and Lemmy communities kind of work so they will just ignore the issues and focus on improving ✨Mastodon experience✨
